Application Scientist
Senior Application Scientist | Hybrid (2 days onsite) | Cheshire / Manchester
We’re working with a growing SaaS business that builds workflow platforms used by highly regulated, science-led industries to manage complex data, processes, and collaboration.
They’re now looking for a Senior Application Scientist to join their customer delivery team, playing a key role in translating real-world scientific requirements into practical, high-impact software solutions.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys sitting at the intersection of science, technology, and customer delivery.
You’ll work closely with clients to understand their workflows and challenges, then shape how these are configured and delivered within a sophisticated SaaS platform.
The product is already well-established, but evolving quickly — giving you the chance to influence how solutions are designed, delivered, and scaled across a global client base.
🧩 What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading discovery conversations to understand customer requirements and workflows
- Translating scientific and business needs into configurable software solutions
- Designing and delivering impactful product demonstrations to prospective clients
- Managing and maintaining demo environments
- Working closely with engineering teams to define and configure development tickets
- Owning elements of the post-sales application lifecycle
- Supporting QA activities for new features and customer solutions
- Creating Statements of Work for new client projects and enhancements
- Collaborating with Account Managers and Support teams to ensure customer success
- Contributing to project delivery and overall customer satisfaction
👀 What They’re Looking For
- A scientific degree (Analytical Science or similar preferred)
- Experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or related regulated industries
- Strong business analysis skills — able to translate requirements into solutions
- Comfortable working with software platforms, data, and technical teams
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused mindset
- Experience in customer-facing roles (support, delivery, or consulting)
