We've partnered with a leading firm with global presence. They are looking for an Azure Network Engineer to join a 16-strong IT Infrastructure Services team responsible for designing, deploying and managing a secure, highly available cloud and on-premise environment.

This is a hands-on cloud networking role. You'll be working across Azure-led infrastructure supporting the firm's network security, vulnerability management, BCDR and SD-WAN environments. The estate spans both on-premise and cloud, with a strong focus on security best practices, zero trust principles and continuous improvement. This is not a siloed enterprise role. You'll collaborate closely with development teams, product owners, data engineers and senior stakeholders, with broad ownership across cloud architecture, network security and infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the firm's network infrastructure across on-premise and Azure cloud environments
  • Design and deploy scalable cloud architectures focused on performance, security and resilience
  • Create and maintain solution documentation for cloud network security
  • Manage vulnerability management solutions and remediate vulnerabilities in line with firm policies
  • Ensure infrastructure patching and change scheduling are maintained in line with firm policy
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Server Edge Connect issues, recording steps in the IT Service Management tool
  • Provide advanced technical support to other departments across the business
  • Proactively monitor all systems and services using the IT department tooling
  • Liaise with vendors and external partners to support delivery and operations
  • Ensure all services have adequate BCDR protection and that configurations are backed up in line with policy

Skills & Experience

  • Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, adhering to security best practices
  • Background in infrastructure, network administration or DevOps
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting dynamic routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
  • Solid understanding of Zero Trust Networking principles and SD-WAN technologies
  • Experience managing and remediating vulnerabilities across enterprise environments
  • Strong knowledge of security standards, including CIS and ISO27001
  • Proficiency in at least one coding or scripting language
  • ITIL Foundation certification or solid working knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently under pressure
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong time management

Desirable but not essential

  • Familiarity with Azure tools, including AKS, Azure Functions and IaC tooling such as Terraform
  • Experience with network application load balancing products such as F5 or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX or systems widely used in the legal sector

What's on offer

  • Salary between £55,000 and £65,000 plus a 5% annual bonus
  • Private medical insurance, health cash plan, dental and life assurance
  • Matched pension contributions up to 7%
  • Holiday trading and a range of additional benefits
  • Structured career development with a build-your-own training pathway
  • A collaborative, inclusive team culture where diverse perspectives are genuinely valued
