Engineering Systems Development Engineer (PLM / Teamcenter)

We're recruiting an Engineering Systems Development Engineer to join a Group IT Engineering Systems team within a major manufacturing organisation. This team ensures global engineering functions have the right software tools and platforms to deliver programmes successfully.

In this role, you'll develop, configure and enhance core engineering applications across the PLM landscape with a strong focus on Siemens Teamcenter supporting both project delivery and BAU continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

You'll take ownership across key engineering systems, delivering upgrades, enhancements and problem resolution across a global user base, including:

  • Developing, configuring and enhancing Teamcenter and related engineering applications
  • Improving data models, workflows and UI, delivering upgrades and new functionality
  • Monitoring and analysing engineering system performance; identifying and resolving issues
  • Performing root-cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes using standard methods
  • Supporting infrastructure processes (e.g., system monitoring, scheduled jobs, server-related tasks)
  • Gathering requirements, producing technical justification, and delivering development solutions
  • Leading testing, documentation and sign-off with engineering stakeholders
  • Collaborating closely with global engineering teams, IT colleagues and third-party partners

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Strong experience with Siemens Teamcenter (RAC and/or Active Workspace)
  • Background in engineering systems support or development (PLM / CAD / CAE / manufacturing integrations)
  • Solid technical foundation across application support and/or hardware support
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders confident communicator who can build trust with engineering users

This suits someone who enjoys owning systems end-to-end: balancing hands-on configuration/development with stakeholder engagement, continuous improvement, and the discipline of testing and documentation. You'll be a self-starter who collaborates well and takes real accountability for outcomes.
