Product Owner

Product Owner (SaaS) | 2-3 Days a week onsite | South Manchester

£50,000 - £65,000pa

We’re working with a growing SaaS business that’s building a workflow platform used by specialist, high-value industries to manage complex projects and collaboration.

They’re now looking for a hands-on Product Owner to join the team and play a key role in driving delivery and shaping the evolution of their core platform.

💡 The Opportunity

This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail, working alongside engineers, and owning delivery from backlog through to release.

You’ll join at a time where the product is well-established but undergoing significant evolution, including large-scale enhancements and modernisation initiatives.

Initially, the focus is heavily on delivery and execution — but there’s clear scope to grow into a more strategic Product role over time.

🧩 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Owning and managing the product backlog across multiple workstreams
  • Writing and refining high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Working closely with engineering to support day-to-day delivery
  • Running and contributing to agile ceremonies (in a Kanban environment)
  • Balancing priorities across product development, customer work, and support
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into deliverables
  • Supporting continuous improvement across product and delivery processes

👀 What They’re Looking For

  • 2–3 years’ experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product-focused role
  • Strong Business Analyst-style skills (backlog management, ticket writing, refinement)
  • Comfortable being hands-on and delivery-focused
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Kanban preferred)
  • SaaS or software product experience is highly desirable
  • Someone who can hit the ground running and add value quickly

📈 What’s in It for You

  • Clear pathway to evolve into a more strategic / senior Product role
  • Opportunity to help shape how Product is defined in a growing business
  • A collaborative, supportive team with real autonomy and ownership
  • Exposure to large-scale product improvements and modernisation work
  • Flexible working with a strong focus on work-life balance

📍 Location & Working Pattern

  • Hybrid working (typically 2–3 days onsite)
  • South Manchester / Cheshire area
  • Flexible start and finish times
  • No expectation of excessive hours
