We’re seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join a growing engineering team responsible for delivering and supporting critical database systems for one of our partners. The successful candidate will ensure the performance, integrity, and security of multiple Oracle environments, both on-prem and in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You’ll play a key role in performance tuning, automation, and continuous improvement across mission-critical databases.

Responsibilities

  • Create, configure, and maintain Oracle Databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and failover strategies (RMAN, Data Guard, Flashback).
  • Optimise SQL and PL/SQL queries for application performance.
  • Manage database patching, upgrades, and migrations
  • Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts, APIs, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve data models, schema design, and security posture.
  • Administer and configure ORDS (Oracle REST Data Services) and perform patching.
  • Conduct performance tuning using AWR, ASH, and Statspack reports.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in production environments.
  • Expertise in Oracle Database 12c+, including Container and Pluggable Databases (CDB/PDB).
  • Proven experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and database migrations.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, with performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of RMAN, Data Pump, Enterprise Manager, ORDS, and ADRCI.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Oracle Certifications (OCA/OCP) are highly desirable.
