System Support Engineer
Engineering Systems Support Engineer (PLM / Teamcenter)

We're recruiting an Engineering Systems Support Engineer to join a Group IT Engineering Systems team within a large manufacturing organisation. The team supports global engineering functions by ensuring critical engineering applications are stable, secure and performing as expected.
This role is support-led, acting as a key escalation point across a suite of engineering systems, with Siemens Teamcenter (RAC & Active Workspace) at the core. You'll balance 2nd and 3rd line BAU support with system improvements, upgrades and global project work.
What you'll be doing
You'll play a central role in keeping engineering systems running smoothly across a global user base, including:
- Providing 2nd and 3rd line support for engineering applications, including Teamcenter.
- Acting as a point of escalation for complex incidents and system issues
- Monitoring system performance, generating reports, and resolving identified problems
- Performing root-cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes
- Deploying, configuring and supporting upgrades, patches and new functionality
- Managing engineering application packages via SCCM
- Supporting IT Infrastructure teams with server tasks, scheduled jobs and application monitoring
- Maintaining licensing, user access and usage reporting across engineering tools
- Gathering requirements and supporting justification for system changes and improvements
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Strong experience supporting engineering or technical applications
- Hands-on exposure to Siemens Teamcenter (RAC and/or Active Workspace)
- Background in 2nd / 3rd line application support within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with engineers, IT teams and third parties
