UX Designer - 5 Month FTC

UX Designer | Global Events & Communities

📍 London (Hybrid) 3 days per week onsite | 💼 5 Month FTC (potential to extend) | 💰 £45-£65,000pa

We're partnering with a leading organisation in the global B2B events space, looking for a UX Designer to shape and own the end-to-end delegate, exhibitor, and internal customer experience across a complex digital ecosystem — spanning registration, event apps, websites, onsite technologies, and internal platforms.

The Opportunity

You'll join a business that powers hundreds of market-leading events and brands across multiple industry sectors, working at the heart of a fast-paced, human-centred product environment. This is a rare chance to design a truly end-to-end journey — from first touchpoint through to post-event engagement — for audiences who span delegates, exhibitors, sponsors, and internal teams.

The digital ecosystem is complex and multi-platform, but there is real scope to:

  • Bring cohesion and consistency to fragmented touchpoints
  • Simplify registration flows and improve conversion
  • Introduce stronger personalisation across different audience groups
  • Shape the evolution of design systems and UX standards at scale

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and design the end-to-end delegate and visitor experience across the digital ecosystem
  • Create cohesive, consistent UX across multiple products and touchpoints
  • Lead UX thinking to simplify registration flows and improve conversion
  • Design personalisation strategies to enhance relevance for different audience groups
  • Map customer journeys and service blueprints to identify pain points and opportunities
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes to validate concepts and communicate design intent
  • Translate user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into intuitive experiences
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Technology, Marketing, Operations, and Event teams
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions
  • Produce wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to clearly communicate solutions
  • Champion accessibility, inclusive design, and UX best practice
  • Support the evolution of design systems and standards for scalability and consistency

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a UX Designer, ideally across complex, multi-platform digital ecosystems
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end journey design, from research through to high-fidelity prototyping
  • Experience designing for registration, onboarding, or conversion-critical flows
  • Confidence mapping customer journeys and service blueprints
  • A collaborative mindset, able to influence across Product, Technology, Marketing, and Operations
  • Experience with design systems and a passion for accessibility and inclusive design
  • Nice to have: experience in events, marketplaces, SaaS, or large-scale consumer platforms; familiarity with CRM, registration platforms, event apps, or identity management

Why This Role?

  • Own a business-critical, end-to-end experience with real visibility
  • Design for scale — across multiple products, platforms, and audience types
  • Work in a fast-paced, live-events environment where digital directly shapes real-world experiences
  • Join a collaborative, delivery-focused team with strong Product and CX foundations
  • High-impact 5-month contract, ideal for a UX Designer who wants to make a visible mark quickly. Potential to extend.
