We areseeking a highly motivated and proactive Senior Business Analyst to join our team and support DHCW's migration to the Cloud.

In this role, you will deliver comprehensive analysis and provide strategic recommendations to key partners and stakeholders. Your excellent communication and organisational skills will ensure that the transition to the Cloud aligns with stakeholder expectations and broader organisational objectives.

You will be responsible for presenting complex technical concepts in a clear manner, as well as efficiently managing, tracking, and communicating the anticipated benefits of the initiative.

Main duties of the job

  • Leading business analysis activities for Cloud migration, underpinned by a solid understanding of DHCW strategies.

  • Applying DHCW's Benefits Realisation Framework to plan, manage, and monitor the benefits of Cloud migration.

  • Reviewing business processes to identify and assess financial, operational, and technological risks.

  • Managing stakeholder relationships with effective communication and influencing skills.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Job responsibilities

  • Identifies and evaluates optimal delivery methods and processes, with a focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement

  • Guides teams in visualising goals, managing workflows, and aligning efforts with MVP, priorities, and defined scope

  • Leads complex modelling of systems, data, and processes across varied project and programme scales, ensuring change impacts are well-managed

  • Conducts thorough analysis of existing business processes and policies, recommending and justifying strategic changes across multiple sectors, including healthcare

  • Actively contributes to the business analysis community of practicesharing insights, developing best practices, and fostering collaboration

  • Mentors and coaches fellow business analysts on selecting and applying appropriate methodologies, tools, and techniques

  • Supports development of the business analyst learning pathway, enhancing knowledge and skills across the community

  • Engages in ongoing research into emerging business analysis tools and methodologies, promoting efficient, innovative, and effective practice

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • Educated to Masters level (or equivalent qualification / experience)
  • Practitioner of Agile working with multi-disciplinary teams.
Desirable
  • Understanding and knowledge of health service terminology and information requirements

Experience

Essential
  • Experience of applying a variety of analytical techniques to highly complex information and quantifying result integrity based upon assessment of sources and techniques applied.
  • Experience of process analysis, assessment and change including financial, cultural, technological, organisational and environmental factors. Further experience of establishing customer requirements and identifying how these map to process requirements.
  • Expertise with the application of Business Analysis techniques, methods and tools; experience of the implementation of Business Analysis techniques, methods and tools as well as the enhancement of their application.
  • Highly experienced in influencing and negotiation skills including critical questioning and innovative thinking.
Desirable
  • Experience of benefits management and realisation.
  • Demonstrable evidence of being able to produce detailed designs and document using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate.

  • Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh
