Digital Skills are working with a specialist in AWS technology including Landing Zones, Architecture, Security and Scalability. The client are growing and need a highly skilled AWS expert in Cloud Architecture and Platform Engineering.

About the roll

We are looking for an expert AWS Cloud Architect/Platform Engineer with leadership experience and the ability to architect, experiment and delivering secure cloud platforms. This role is a bridge between Technical and Architectural and will require the leadership of and collaborate with expert AWS engineers.

You will be working on highly secure and critical national infrastructure as such security will be at the heart of everything.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture of AWS platforms looking at multi-account best practice
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
• Champion security using services such as AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and Inspector.
• Design CI/CD pipelines
• Design AWS Networking and IAM within Kubernetes, ECS
• Mentor engineers

About you

This is a senior, technical leadership role that will require a candidate with the skills and experience in both Arcbitecture and Engineering. You will be a deep level expert in AWS including areas such as:

• Multi-tenanted platform architectures and multi-account setups.
• AWS Networking, TLS, and security best practices.
• Kubernetes, EKS and observability tools, ideally Grafana
• Strong knowledge of Control Tower and Landing Zone technology

The client are a specific AWS partner, a SME and fast growing company. They work across public and private end clients, however are known for their presence in high profile Government accounts.

The salary for this role is £120k pa plus benefits.

You must be eligible for UK Government SC Clearance for this role, which means that you must be a permanent resident in the UK, have lived here continuously for the past 5 years and have a clean criminal record.
