Job Title: Data Cabling Engineer

Day Rate: £200 per day

Project Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Data Cabling Engineer to support a 6-month installation project within a large distribution centre in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, terminating, and testing Cat6 cabling both overhead and underfloor.
Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Installation of Cat6 structured cabling throughout a large-scale distribution facility
• 
  Routing and containment of cable through overhead trays and underfloor systems
• 
  Termination and testing of copper cabling
• 
  Adhering to site health & safety protocols and project specifications
• 
  Working efficiently within a team or independently to meet project deadlines

Requirements:

• 
  Proven experience in structured cabling installations, particularly with Cat6
• 
  Competent working with overhead and underfloor containment systems
• 
  Must provide own basic hand tools and PPE
• 
  All relevant industry tickets (e.g., ECS/CSCS) must be valid and in date
• 
  Strong understanding of health and safety standards on construction/industrial sites

Preferred:

• 
  Experience working in logistics, warehouse, or distribution centre environments
• 
  IPAF and PASMA (advantageous but not essential)
