Jira Consultant
A growing technology business is looking for a DevOps / Jira Consultant to support the implementation and migration of their ticketing and delivery workflows.
They are moving from Azure DevOps to Jira and need someone who can set up the environment properly from day one, ensuring it supports delivery, reporting and time tracking in a scalable way.
Role: DevOps / Jira Consultant
Day Rate: £500 per day
Contract: Outside IR35
Location: Guildford - Hybrid
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the setup and configuration of Jira from scratch
- Migrate existing workflows, tickets and structures from Azure DevOps into Jira
- Design and implement project structures, boards and workflows aligned to engineering processes
- Configure reporting, dashboards and time tracking to support delivery visibility
- Work closely with engineering and leadership teams to define how Jira should be used
- Ensure best practice setup for scalability, usability and governance
- Provide guidance on how teams should adopt and use Jira effectively
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience implementing Jira from scratch or leading migrations from Azure DevOps
- Strong understanding of software delivery workflows and DevOps environments
- Experience configuring Jira projects, workflows, boards and permissions
- Ability to set up reporting, dashboards and time tracking
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to translate requirements into systems
- Experience working in fast-paced engineering teams
