Role: Senior Network Engineer (Telecoms)

Location: Remote, UK

Day Rate: £550-£630 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract Length: Minimum 6 Months

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing and delivering cutting-edge active network solutions that are reliable, secure, and built to scale.
• Solving complex problems across access, core, DWDM, automation, and security domains.
• Leading projects and initiatives, acting as a subject matter expert in your field.
• Driving quality, consistency, and continuous improvement in everything you touch.
• Collaborating across teams to turn business requirements into smart, technical solutions.

What You’ll Bring:

• Solid experience in large-scale network engineering, ideally with a focus on:
• Layer 2 & 3 technologies (Ethernet, MPLS, CoS, QoS, IPv4/IPv6)
• Mixed vendor environments and tech migrations
• Tools like Splunk, Jira, Ansible
• Strong scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, Ansible)
• Sharp analytical and troubleshooting skills
• A proactive mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and project planning abilities
• Familiarity with ITIL and network monitoring/inventory systems
• Understanding of the Telecoms Security Act
• Experience working in both agile and waterfall environments
• Degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
