Software Engineer - Python/AWS

Role: Software Developer (AWS, Python, TypeScript)

Location: UK-based remote working

Salary: £55k-£65k

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.

  • Contribute to technical design, cloud-native architecture, APIs, integrations, and platform services.

  • Apply AI-powered development tools throughout design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

  • Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, defect resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Promote engineering best practices, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years' commercial software development experience.

  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT) to improve productivity and software quality.

  • Proficiency with Python, SQL, RESTful APIs, and relational databases.

  • Commercial experience working with TypeScript/React

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, Agile development, and software development lifecycles.

  • Interest in cloud-native technologies, scalable architectures, and modern software engineering practices.
