Role Description The Product Design Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in London UK, with a mix of in-office collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. This role oversees end-to-end product design initiatives, leading a team of designers to create intuitive, accessible and scalable user experiences across Diligent’s Compliance portfolio. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining design strategy, prioritizing design work, running design reviews, and partnering closely with product management, engineering and user research to align design outcomes with business goals. The Product Design Manager will guide the application of design thinking, ensure visual and interaction design quality, and promote design standards and patterns across multiple products. This role also involves mentoring team members, advocating for user-centered decision-making, and contributing to roadmap planning and stakeholder communications. This role will support between 3 and 6 practitioners based across Europe.

Qualifications

  • Design leadership and team oversight skills, including Design Management and Product Design experience.
  • Must have experience leading distributed and/or remote teams of 3-6 practitioners.
  • Must have experience and a point of view on how AI enables design practitioners and managers.
  • Strong user-centered design capabilities, including Design Thinking and User Research skills.
  • Proficiency in Visual Design, interaction design, and creating consistent design systems.
  • Experience collaborating with product, engineering and cross-functional partners in a SaaS or B2B technology environment.
  • Ability to translate complex workflows and requirements into clear, usable interfaces for diverse global users.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting design decisions to senior leaders.
  • Background in leading hybrid or distributed design teams and working within agile product development processes.
