The Data Office is a newly formed function within Diligenta that has been created specifically to oversee data use, governance and control within the organisation, as well as to grow and evolve the use of data providing a better journey for our clients and their customers.
Delivering excellent customer journeys is core to Diligenta’s ‘One Diligenta’ model strategy and is key to Building “Purpose and Pride”. Responsibility for and governance around Data in our Organisation is a key part of this, as we are committed to providing and using relevant data to achieve the right outcomes for our clients, their customers and our colleagues.
This position will be the focal point for Data Governance within Diligenta, as well as overseeing the implementation of the Governance parts of our data strategy.
It will also be responsible for building out the Data governance team, frameworks, guidance and controls.
You will play a key role in setting, embedding, and governing our data privacy and data management compliance framework, so that it meets the needs of our clients, their customers, the business, and regulators.
Establish scopes, hierarchies and lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive Data governance framework with the related controls and observability.
Establish, lead and manage the Data Governance Forum, coordinating agendas and managing action points. Lead discussions to review compliance, governance and emerging potential risks.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to strategic direction alignment.
Support the personal development of the Data Governance Specialist roles through clear direction, coaching, training and feedback.
Work closely with the data delivery and management scopes to maintain high data quality and drive process improvements.
Provide and present recommendations following analysis that highlight risks, issues or trends in Data and data quality. This will involve presenting and providing feedback to senior leadership levels.
Develop, lead and mentor a motivated and high-performing Data governance team
Implementation of data privacy, ethics, compliance, governance, and quality programs.
Define and maintain relevant policies and processes.
Develop and maintain documentation on our data assets.
Provides Data governance advice to stakeholders.
The role holder will initially be responsible for managing and developing up to 5 FTE and will be responsible for identifying and justifying future growth within the team
