Power BI Developer

We’re looking for a Power BI Developer to take ownership of data and reporting across the business and help shape how we use data as we continue to scale.

What You’ll Be Working On

Power BI Development & Data Visualisation

  • Lead the design, development, and optimisation of interactive dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions
  • Build and manage scalable semantic data models
  • Apply advanced DAX optimisation and Power Query transformations
  • Develop and maintain paginated reports where required
  • Ensure high standards of performance, usability, and visual design
  • Manage report deployment, refresh strategies, and lifecycle management
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data and reporting issues

Data Architecture & Integration

  • Architect and manage data pipelines and integration workflows
  • Integrate data from multiple systems including: ERP, ecommerce platform, operational systems (e.g. AutoStore)
  • Ensure data quality, validation, and governance standards
  • Support the development of a scalable data environment (Azure / Microsoft Fabric)

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with stakeholders across departments (e.g. Marketing, Buying, Operations, Finance)
  • Translate business challenges into scalable data solutions
  • Lead requirements gathering, solution design, and delivery
  • Deliver insights that directly influence commercial performance and operational efficiency

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Drive automation and efficiency across reporting processes
  • Define and implement best practices in data modelling and visualisation
  • Contribute to the company’s data strategy and AI roadmap

Who We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience in data analytics, or business intelligence
  • Advanced expertise in: Power BI (Desktop, Service, Dataflows, Semantic Models), DAX (optimisation and complex calculations), Power Query (data transformation), data modelling best practices
  • Strong SQL skills (queries, views, performance optimisation)
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources and building data pipelines
  • Experience in data cleansing and validation during system migrations
  • Exposure to Azure / Microsoft Fabric or cloud-based data environments
  • Proven ability to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions (from concept to deployment)
  • Experience working in Agile or fast-paced environments
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
