PR Manager (6-month FTC) - JustGiving

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced and strategic PR Manager to support our team and cover a maternity contract. This is a pivotal role responsible for delivering our PR strategy, managing our in-house and agency teams, and driving national and regional media coverage that supports our brand, fundraisers, and charity partners.

What you’ll do

• Lead and execute JustGiving’s PR strategy across consumer, charity, and corporate audiences.

• Provide strategic counsel to executive leadership on reputational issues and media opportunities.

• Manage and mentor the in-house PR team and oversee the relationship with our external PR agency.

• Develop and deliver high-impact media campaigns that amplify fundraising stories, campaign moments, and brand initiatives.

• Act as a senior spokesperson and media contact for JustGiving, including during crisis communications.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets across print, broadcast, online, and social.

• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, legal, customer support) to align messaging and ensure brand consistency.

• Monitor media coverage, track KPIs, and report on PR performance to senior stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience in a senior PR or communications role, ideally within tech, charity, or consumer brands.

• Strong media relations skills and a track record of securing high-profile coverage.

• Confident spokesperson with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience managing agencies and leading teams.

• Passionate about storytelling, social impact, and the power of community.
