About The Team:

About The Role:

We are looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking leader to help shape engineering practices, support agile ways of working, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach & Support Teams: Guide engineers, architects, and leaders in modern software practices and agile delivery.
• Promote Engineering Excellence: Encourage clean code, testing, and automation through hands-on collaboration.
• Drive Change: Help teams evolve their tools, processes, and culture to improve speed, safety, and quality.
• Enable Agile Delivery: Work with product and delivery teams to improve workflows and customer outcomes.
• Lead by Example: Join teams in coding sessions, architecture discussions, and workshops to support learning and adoption.
• Influence Strategy: Partner with leadership to remove barriers, scale agile practices, and promote innovation.
• Build Community: Create spaces for knowledge-sharing and growth through events, workshops, and communities of practice. Implement and optimise scalable data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and Databricks

Requirements:

• Good experience in data engineering or backend software engineering with a data focus.
• Experience in software engineering and delivery, including testing, automation, and cloud technologies.
• Ability to coach and mentor individuals and teams, adapting your approach to different needs.
• Familiarity with agile and lean frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, XP) and product-focused delivery.
• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language and cloud platform.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for helping others grow.

Nice to Have: -

• Experience supporting large-scale transformation or modernisation initiatives.
• Background in product management or delivery leadership.
• Certifications in coaching or agile practices.
• Contributions to tech communities through writing, speaking, or mentoring.
