PE-Backed | Buy-and-Build | SaaS

There aren’t many opportunities where you step into a role that’s genuinely still being shaped. Where the business is growing fast, the finance team is evolving, and you can walk in and make an immediate impact — without the firefighting environment that so often comes with it.

This is one of those rare ones.

You’ll be joining a modern, PE-backed, buy-and-build SaaS group that operates across the UK. They’re scaling quickly, both organically and through acquisition. Think strong recurring revenue, real investment in systems, and a leadership team that wants finance at the centre of decision-making.

The role

This is the number-two seat in Group Finance — broad, hands-on and influential. You’ll lead a team of five, bring structure to a multi-currency environment and drive the month-end, year-end, tax and statutory processes across multiple entities.

Financial control matters here. Governance matters.

But so does curiosity, improvement and ambition.

Alongside the BAU, you’ll be right in the mix on projects:

– Supporting ongoing acquisitions and integration

– Strengthening controls and building scalable processes

– Improving reporting, insight and cash visibility

– Helping shape the finance function as the group grows

It’s not a turnaround. It’s not chaos.

It’s a profitable, well-run business investing heavily in capability and infrastructure.

The team

You’ll work closely with a CFO who genuinely cares about developing people — someone who’ll give you time, space and real ownership. The wider team is strong, low-ego and quality-driven. It’s the type of environment where you’re trusted to get on with things but supported when you need it.

What they’re looking for

A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with solid post-qualification experience. Someone comfortable in a multi-entity, multi-currency group setting. Strong on controls, strong technically, but also commercially aware.

If you enjoy modernising finance, improving processes and building something better than you found it — you’ll fit in well.

Why this one?

Because it blends the best bits of a senior finance role:

Stability. Growth. Autonomy. Exposure.

Plus genuine involvement in M&A — something many finance professionals want but rarely get.

If you’d like to explore this further, drop me a message and I’ll happily share the full brief.
