IT Project Engineer
We are recruiting for an experienced IT Project Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider delivering cloud and infrastructure solutions. This role focuses on end-to-end project delivery, working closely with customers to implement modern Microsoft-based solutions across cloud, security and workplace technologies.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE)Location: Derby (Hybrid - 3-4 days in the office, with customer site travel)Benefits include:

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
As a Professional Services Engineer, you will take ownership of technical project delivery from initial scoping through to implementation and handover. You will work on a variety of projects, including Azure migrations, Microsoft 365 deployments, Modern Workplace solutions and security improvements.
The role is customer-facing, requiring you to understand business requirements, design appropriate solutions and deliver them to a high standard. You will also act as a technical escalation point, contribute to documentation and best practices, and collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
ABOUT YOU
- We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in MSP or consultancy environments, and hands-on expertise across Microsoft technologies, including Azure (THIS IS ESSENTIAL), Microsoft 365, Intune and identity/security solutions.
- You should be confident in delivering projects end-to-end, with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A proactive, organised approach and strong sense of ownership are essential.
- Experience with cloud migrations, modern workplace deployments and networking fundamentals is important.
- A full UK driving licence is required due to occasional travel to customer sites.
