Senior systems Administrator
Role: Senior IT Systems Administrator Location: Remote (occasional travel to UK offices required) Mainly Coventry office.Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)Hours: Monday to Friday
We are recruiting on behalf of a UK-based environmental services consultancy that provides a full range of services across the asset lifecycle. They help clients navigate complex regulations while saving time, money, and resources, with a strong commitment to protecting people and the planet.
The Role: We are seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to join the team and play a key role in maintaining and developing their IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting, maintaining, and developing both physical and cloud IT infrastructure.
- Diagnosing and resolving ongoing technical issues at their root cause.
- Managing relationships with the company’s Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- Leading IT projects with external collaborators, ensuring timely delivery of objectives.
- Prioritising and managing your own workload with guidance from the IT Director.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is advantageous.
- Microsoft Certification (MCSA) or equivalent.
- Strong experience with on-premises and cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure.
- Proven troubleshooting skills and experience supporting Azure cloud environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies at a senior administrator level, including Windows Server, M365, Backup Technologies, and IT Security Principles.
- Organised, able to manage projects of varying scope, and comfortable working independently.
- Willing to travel to UK offices when required.
