Overview

Our client is recruiting for a Principal Cyber Architect to lead the strategic development and execution of enterprise-wide cyber security architecture. This senior role involves close collaboration with technology, cyber security, and governance teams to ensure the effective design, implementation, and evolution of secure digital environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement long-term cyber security strategies aligned with business goals
• Lead the design and justification of security architectures for complex systems and digital platforms
• Research and deliver innovative security solutions that meet emerging threats
• Influence senior stakeholders and collaborate with internal architecture, delivery, and assurance teams
• Develop and maintain architectural frameworks, models, and reference patterns
• Own and evolve critical cyber capability domains across the organisation
• Represent cyber architecture in key technical governance forums
• Contribute to enterprise-level cyber architecture strategy and roadmap development
• Monitor and assess new technologies and trends to inform strategic decisions
• Recommend security enhancements based on evolving threats and compliance needs

Candidate Profile

• Strong expertise in complex cyber security concepts and architecture
• Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
• Experienced in developing and reviewing technical cyber design documents
• Proactive, adaptable, and innovative in approach to problem-solving and change

Required Experience

• Extensive hands-on cyber architecture and design experience within large organisations
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and familiarity with aviation or critical infrastructure systems (preferred)
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, TOGAF, or equivalent are advantageous
