Technical Producer

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Technical Producer to join our growing Production Team. You will be a driving force within the studio, supporting the Tech Team and other Producers with the planning and execution of project deliverables through to release. Utilising your strong project management skills and industry knowledge to ensure we are achieving our goals on time and on budget.

Salary

£32,000-£40,000 (DOE)

Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Creative Director and Production Team to ensure the creative vision of the project can be executed within scope, on time and on budget.
  • Build the project timeline and define goals for the Tech Team.
  • Create, manage, assign, and prioritise tasks. Ensuring the project backlog is always an up-to-date and accurate reflection of the project.
  • Lead stand-ups, milestone planning sessions, milestone reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coordinate teams and drive deadlines forward.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and bottlenecks associated with key milestones, problem solving where possible and escalating any issues to the Leadership Team.
  • Work with the teams to ensure the creation and maintenance of key documentation.
  • Liaise with external partners and contractors, as required.
  • Proactively review, adapt and improve production processes and workflows to support the needs of the game and teams.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project performance and progress.
  • Lead by example to foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting communication and teamwork across all departments.

About You

  • Experience as a Game Producer for a technical-focused team, with a proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality games.
  • Experience working on console games, with one commercial title shipped across multiple platforms.
  • A minimum of one full project lifecycle (from Pre-Production through to Release).
  • A deep knowledge of game development processes and production methodologies including Agile, Scrum and Waterfall.
  • Proficient utilising Project Management tools e.g. Jira (or similar), Miro, Microsoft Office, Google docs/sheets/slides.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organisation and externally.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • A genuine passion for games, and a deep understanding of the video game industry and its trends.

Location

  • This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with the option to work remotely based on personal preference. However, there will be requirements to work on-site at our studio located in Witham, Essex.
