Job summary

Are you an experienced Network Infrastructure professional looking for your next challenge within a forward-thinking NHS organisation Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an ICT Network Manager to lead the delivery, support and development of our enterprise network infrastructure across multiple hospital and community sites. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing critical network services that support patient care and business operations.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across the Trust's wired and wireless network environments, working closely with infrastructure teams, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure and resilient services. You will be involved in major infrastructure projects, Wi Fi upgrades, service improvements and future technology initiatives whilst supporting the Trust's digital transformation programme.

This role offers an opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies in a complex and rewarding healthcare environment whilst contributing directly to the delivery of high-quality patient services.

Main duties of the job

The ICT Network Manager will be responsible for the management, maintenance and development of the Trust's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless and telephony services. The post holder will provide leadership for network operations, act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues, and work collaboratively with internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure high levels of service availability and performance.

The role will lead infrastructure projects and network upgrades, including wireless technology improvements, capacity planning and resilience initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining network security standards, supporting business continuity requirements, producing technical documentation and ensuring best practice is followed across the network estate.

The post holder will also participate in the ICT out-of-hours on-call rota to support critical services and will contribute to the Trust's strategic technology objectives through innovation, continuous improvement and technical leadership.
