Rheumatology Systems Administrator
Job summary
The Division of Medicine would like to invite applicants for a Rheumatology Systems Administrator working to support the Rheumatology Specialist nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join the Admin Team here at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the implementing and administering of the computerised TA Monitor system (Therapy Audit), along with other Rheumatology monitoring data systems, across all Trust sites. The post holder is responsible for all relevant training and continuing support for other staff and users on all data systems.
- Working in close partnership with the Rheumatology Nurse Specialists and Consultants to ensure correct data transfer onto the monitoring systems.
- Responsible for maintaining the data system and liaising with the software provider to identify system problems/issues and solving and implementing necessary changes.
- Training provision for the multi-disciplinary team across the specialty, providing on-going support to the users as required.
- The post holder will download, analyse and create reports of patient data upon request to internal and external providers who request it.
- Manage and co-ordinate their own workload and that of other team members.
- Is responsible for the collection, verification, inputting, reporting and distributing to relevant personnel of patient care pathway data, care outcomes, drug information, test results, diagnoses and medical histories.
- Be responsible for continually developing this post and that of others, i.e. nurses and other admin colleagues.
- Liaise with other external healthcare providers for new prescriptions, repeat prescriptions and the registration of new patients

Person Specification
Qualification & Training
- Minimum of 3 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade C or above or equivalent qualification/relevant experience
- RSA III or NVQ III level administrative qualification or equivalent qualification/relevant experience
- ECDL or equivalent qualification / demonstrable experience
- Business Administration Level II Apprenticeship

Knowledge & Experience
- Previous experience working in a clerical/administrative role
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word
- Knowledge and understanding of Rheumatological conditions and the service provided at our Hospital
