Integration Lead
Job summary
Dorset Healthcare are looking for an experienced Integration Lead to oversee the Trust's Integration Engine (Mirth) and drive the successful execution of projects to support the business' strategy.
You'll play an instrumental role in designing and implementing robust integration solutions to ensure seamless communication between diverse systems, enhancing our operational efficiency and technological capabilities.Your leadership will also be pivotal in fostering a collaborative environment, providing training, and supporting team members to enhance the team's overall capabilities and performance.
Main duties of the job
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of integration initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Work closely with a variety of stakeholders to gather requirements and define integration strategies.
- Continuously monitor integration processes, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure seamless data flow
- Implement best practices to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and security across integrated systems.
- Create comprehensive integration documentation, including architecture diagrams, data mappings, and specifications.
- Stay abreast of emerging tools and technologies, assessing their potential to improve integration solutions and processes.

Person Specification
Knowledge, Skills and Training
- Educated to master's level or equivalent experience
- Specialist knowledge of information systems set-up, configuration, data entry and interrogation
- Excellent problem resolution and fault investigation skills
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) qualification, or willingness to obtain
- Proven experience of dealing with confidential information
- Expert knowledge of IM&T applications or systems, ideally in healthcare
- Extensive Knowledge of programming languages e.g. HTML, XLST, JavaScript, JQuery, C#, SQL
- Expert Knowledge of data formats and interoperability standards such as, HL7 2.x and 3.x, FHIR, X.12, TCP/IP, SFTP, Web Services, XML and schemas (DTD, XSD), and IHE integration profiles
Job specific Experience
- Previous experience in an equivalent industry and environment
- Experience holding a system integration role (5 years)
- Proven successful experience of system set-up, configuration and management
- Experience of delivering systems business change in an organisation or service
- Experience of leading or coaching a team
- Practical experience of clinical and administrative workflow, policies and procedures
