Mandatory Trainer/Clinical Educator
Job summary
Dorset Health Care University Trust are looking to recruit a Mandatory trainer/Clinical Educator to work to support of our Inpatient services across Dorset.
The post holder will be responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of a programme of mandatory training and clinically relevant practice education to support the professional development of the organisation. The appointed individual will have a specific focus on enabling the delivery of high-quality patient/person centred care that is grounded in evidence-based practice and underpinned by national, organisational and trust objectives, guidelines, and policies.
The person we are looking for will have; a strong clinical background with recent clinical experience, excellent communication skills, ability to engage and influence at all levels, demonstrate a passion for education and act as a professional role model. We will provide appropriate support and opportunities for your continued development.

This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application
Main duties of the job
The overarching aim of the Mandatory trainer/ Clinical Educator is to facilitate and support the clinical, professional, and educational development of the organisation. Development of clinical training programs and supporting access to statutory mandatory training.

Person Specification
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND TRAINING
- Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level supplemented by diploma level
- Knowledge of mentorship or practice assessing education and development
JOB SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE
- Ability to demonstrate and highlight benefits to end users
- Teaching experience
- Experience of managing change
- Demonstrable competency in a suite of clinical nursing skills
- Experience of working in a project environment
- Knowledge of project deployment
BUSINESS TRAVEL
- Must have a car and driving licence
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
- Confident in the use of Microsoft Office Products
