Receptionist/Administrator
Job summary
Poole Healthcare Centre provides an assessment, diagnostic and treatment service at Poole Healthcare Centre, 1st Floor Boots the Chemist, Dolphin Shopping Centre, Poole.The administration team is currently looking to recruit an administrator to work 15 hours per week. The role includes dealing with a range of telephone queries, arranging appointments, downloading referrals, post, managing patient and hospital correspondence, data inputting and problem solving whilst covering the reception. In addition to dealing with patients a key part of this role is to provide administrative support to the clinical team to enable them to run their clinics effectively. You will need to be highly organized with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering a customer focused service. This is a very busy department and you will be required to effectively manage multiple and diverse work streams.

Main duties of the job
To provide an efficient and friendly Reception and Administrative service to support the delivery of excellent patient care.
To ensure that patients and contacts with the service are dealt with in a friendly, empathetic and profession manner and to help ensure that the patient experience is positive for all.
To assist in the provision of a comprehensive, high quality and efficient outpatient service including the management of electronic medical records.
Employment in this post requires an Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Person Specification
Knowledge Skills and Training
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent level of knowledge of office procedures
Job Specific Experience
- Previous experience within a comparable role
- Previous experience of working within a customer/public focused environment
Information Technology
- Competency and confidence in use of IT, with the ability to adapt to new systems
- Demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
Personal Qualities/ Attributes
- The ability to be able to prioritize, use own initiative and be an excellent team player.
