Service Design Analyst

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity in our Digital team for a Service Design Analyst who will be involved with pro-active user experience research including the creation of user research deliverables to provide in-depth, analysis of structures, problems and proposed solutions well making the most of modern technology to transform services enabling the organisation to become more efficient and effective.

The successful candidate will be able to use the latest tools and methods enabling services to transform their ways of working, through the creation and testing of user centred design (digital and non-digital) using prototypes, to ensure they meet stakeholder needs and improve outcomes for people.

Showcasing excellent communication skills, you will be able to work effectively across organisational, technical and political boundaries, understanding the context with the ability to quickly form good working relationships. You know how to make complex and technical information and language simple and accessible for non-technical audiences. You will be practiced at active listening, can advocate and communicate what a team does in a clear and succinct manner to create trust and authenticity and can respond to challenge.

Main duties of the job

Delivering service design work through the entire design process: conducting user research, problem definition, business analysis, idea generation, process mapping, prototyping, testing and co-designing the 'to be' customer journey. To contribute towards shifting the organisation to working in a multidisciplinary way, establishing and leading multidisciplinary teams for design work, identifying the right resources at the right time to be part of the team, improving quality and timeliness of outcomes.

You know about agile methodology and can apply an agile mindset to all aspects of your work. You can work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and use an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid delivery.

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Knowledge, Skills and Training

Essential
  • Degree or equivalent qualifications and/or equivalent practical experience.
  • Service Design/ Business Analyst practitioner or equivalent practical experience.
  • Business Change knowledge and skills.
Desirable
  • Relevant qualifications or study.

  • Experience of leading workshops
