SQL Server DBA (Contract)

Location: UK (Remote)

Contract: Short-term | Outside IR35

Drop Table are looking for a hands-on SQL Server DBA to support a short-term engagement, focused on maintaining and optimising production database environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Day-to-day administration of Microsoft SQL Server environments
• Monitoring performance, identifying issues, and implementing improvements
• Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery management
• Troubleshooting incidents and ensuring system stability
• Supporting patching, upgrades, and general database maintenance
• Working closely with infrastructure and application teams

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server in production environments
• Proven ability in performance tuning and optimisation
• Solid troubleshooting and incident resolution skills
• Experience with backup/recovery and high availability setups
• Able to operate independently in a remote, fast-paced environment

This is a contract role, remote working and outside IR35.
