Senior Research Engineer

Senior AI Research Engineer (LLMs / AI Systems) | London | £200K–£300K

We’re hiring a Senior AI Research Engineer to work on large-scale AI systems deployed in production.

The role sits between research and engineering, focusing on improving the models and systems behind AI agents. Work includes instruction following, long-context reasoning, retrieval, and multi-step task execution.

What You’ll Do

• Improve core capabilities such as instruction following, retrieval, contextual memory, and long-horizon tasks
• Build and iterate on model training, evaluation, and orchestration pipelines
• Develop end-to-end systems that run reliably at scale
• Take research ideas from prototype to deployed systems
• Work closely with engineers to ship models into production

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years in AI/ML engineering or applied research
• Experience training, fine-tuning, or deploying LLMs in production
• Strong Python and familiarity with modern ML tooling (PyTorch, data pipelines, evaluation frameworks)
• Track record of turning research work into production systems
