AI Software Engineer – Elite Hedge Fund – London | Up to £130k Base + 50% Bonus

I'm working with a $10BN AUM hedge fund building out their AI engineering function in London.

• One of the UK's most sophisticated systematic trading operations
• Small, elite engineering team - ex-FAANG, Olympiad medallists, and top-tier quant developers

They're embedding AI deep into their research and trading workflows and need a strong engineer to help build it out.

What you'll be working on:

• Designing and deploying AI/ML systems that directly influence trading research and strategy
• Building robust, production-grade Python applications in a low-latency, high-stakes environment
• Collaborating with quants and researchers to turn cutting-edge models into real-world tools
• Owning end-to-end development of AI pipelines - from experimentation to production
• Pushing the boundaries of what's possible with LLMs and modern AI tooling in a quantitative finance context

What they're looking for:

• Strong Python engineering skills - this is non-negotiable
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML systems in production
• Sharp problem-solver who thrives in a fast-moving, high-performance environment
• Finance or similarly demanding sector experience a plus - but exceptional engineers will be considered
