Software Engineer AI Startup up to 300k + Equity

We are working with an institutionally backed AI startup operating in stealth mode. The company builds large-scale LLMs and the in-house high-performance systems that train and deploy them efficiently.

This is an opportunity for engineers from HFT or HPC backgrounds to apply their system-level expertise to a new domain, working across runtime systems, scheduling, and optimisation to improve the efficiency of complex AI workloads.

Overview

You will join a small, research-driven team of engineers and scientists developing advanced model architectures and the distributed infrastructure that supports them. The environment combines large-scale compute, low-latency software engineering, and applied machine learning.

Requirements

• Exceptional academic background, typically a Computer Science (or related) degree from a leading university
• Proficiency in C++ or Python for high-performance or systems-level work
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience with competitive programming or performance optimisation is advantageous

Compensation

Base salary up to 300k plus equity.
