Overview

We are seeking a customer-facing Principal Network Consultant to lead engagements across the full lifecycle from pre-sales solution shaping through architecture & design, to delivery governance and technical assurance.

This is not an operations-only role.

You will act as a trusted technical advisor, working closely with customers, sales, and delivery teams to design secure, scalable network and security solutions and ensure they are successfully implemented.

You will bridge the gap between:

Business requirements
Solution architecture
Technical delivery

Your Role

You will own the end-to-end technical lifecycle of network and security engagements.

From discovery workshops and solution design to implementation oversight and transition into support, youll ensure solutions are:

Fit for purpose
Secure by design
Scalable
Deliverable

What Youll Be Doing

Pre-Sales & Solution Leadership

• Act as technical lead in customer engagements and discovery workshops
• Translate business and operational needs into solution architectures
• Support RFPs, proposals, and solution positioning
• Provide technical assurance during bid and pursuit stages
• Shape network and security strategy with customers

Architecture & Design

• Design enterprise network and security solutions across:
  • LAN / Campus
  • WLAN
  • Network Access Control
  • Segmentation
  • Secure Internet Access
  • Software-defined networking
• Produce:
  • HLDs / LLDs
  • Migration strategies
  • Implementation roadmaps
  • Security design principles
• Design with operational supportability in mind

Delivery Oversight

• Provide technical governance during implementation
• Guide engineering teams through complex deployments
• Act as escalation point during project delivery
• Ensure solutions align with architecture and customer intent
• Support transition into BAU / managed service

Technologies Youll Work Across

Youll lead solutions involving:

• Cisco Security (ASA, FirePOWER, FTD, FMC)
• Cisco ISE (NAC, identity & policy)
• Cisco Umbrella (SSE / SASE foundations)
• Cisco DNA Center (Automation & Assurance)
• Enterprise LAN (Catalyst Switching)
• WLAN (Controllers & Access Architecture)

Nice to have exposure to:

• SD-Access
• ACI / Nexus
• Cloud networking
• Zero Trust architectures

Strategic & Advisory Responsibilities

• Act as senior technical advisor to customers
• Provide lifecycle improvement recommendations
• Contribute to standards and reusable architectures
• Mentor engineers and support capability growth

What Youll BringCore Experience

• 5+ years in enterprise networking & security
• Experience in design and implementation
• Strong Cisco enterprise networking background
• Experience translating business needs into technical solutions
• Comfortable leading customer conversations

Desirable

• CCNP Enterprise or equivalent
• Experience with software-defined networking (SD-Access, ACI)
• Managed services or systems integrator background
• Experience designing for operational supportability
