HR Manager - Small to mid size company experiance

Location: London - Hybrid Working

Salary: £55,000-£65,000

Job Summary

Dynamic Search Solutions are recruiting for an HR Manager to join the People team of a well-established technology company. This is a true generalist HR role with a strong employee relations focus, where you'll act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees across the business, lead on ER matters from start to finish, and play a hands-on part in keeping a growing company a genuinely great place to work.

This is a role for someone who enjoys the human side of HR, not someone who hides behind policy or process. You'll be as comfortable helping a manager recognise brilliant work as you are supporting someone through a difficult conversation.

The Company

Our client is an established technology company with a 20-year track record of transforming the working lives of people across a wide range of sectors. They're a business that genuinely cares about the quality of what they deliver and how it feels to work there, and their People team sits at the heart of protecting that culture as the company grows.

The People team see themselves as experience providers, looking after the moments that shape working life, making sure things run properly while keeping the business human. As the HR Manager, you'll be central to that mission.

Roles & Responsibilities

As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading employee relations activity across the business, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and conduct matters.
  • Conducting investigations, facilitating difficult conversations and helping people find constructive ways forward.
  • Acting as a trusted sounding board for managers, helping them navigate performance concerns and situations they may not have encountered before, and building their confidence to lead successful teams.
  • Overseeing key people processes across the employee lifecycle, including probation, absence management and performance reviews.
  • Supporting wellbeing initiatives, occupational health referrals and flexible working requests.
  • Ensuring policies are applied fairly and consistently, providing guidance on employment legislation and people-related risk, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Identifying recurring themes across people matters and helping the business address root causes rather than symptoms.
  • Supporting recruitment activity through values and culture interviewing.
  • Using AI tools to reduce administrative effort and support research, preparation and insight, creating more time for conversations and relationships.

You'll also have the opportunity to get involved in shaping leadership development, supporting teams through periods of growth and change, and contributing to projects that strengthen culture and performance across the business.

Your Skills & Experience

  • A CIPD Level 5 qualification or above, OR strong operational HR experience across a broad range of employee relations matters.
  • Experiance in working for a small to medium sized business where you will have worn multiple different hats
  • The confidence to have honest conversations and navigate situations others may avoid.
  • Excellent judgement and the ability to balance empathy with accountability.
  • A calm, pragmatic and solutions-focused mindset.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to earn trust quickly.
  • A genuine interest in people and a desire to help them succeed.

Company Benefits

  • Pension / healthcare
  • The chance to shape the people experience of a growing technology business
  • A supportive, values-led team culture
