Senior Enterprise Architect #3601583
Senior Enterprise Architect
Location: Liverpool / Hybrid
Type: Permanent
Overview
We are working with a global logistics and transport organisation seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to take ownership of enterprise‐wide transformation. This is a hands‐on, delivery‐focused role for a senior architect who can operate at scale and drive real change across operating models, systems, platforms, and business capabilities.
This role is not aligned to a single domain or system. Instead, you will oversee and shape all major transformation initiatives globally, acting as the architectural authority ensuring alignment between business strategy, operating models, and technology execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead enterprise‐wide transformation architecture across a global organisation
- Define and drive Target Operating Models (TOMs) aligned to strategic business outcomes
- Act as architectural lead across multiple concurrent transformation programmes, including systems, platforms, data and process change
- Shape and govern major technology investments, including ERP, core business systems, platforms and integrations
- Ensure architectural coherence across regions, functions and programmes while enabling local delivery
- Partner closely with executive stakeholders, programme leadership and delivery teams to translate strategy into executable outcomes
- Provide hands‐on leadership — getting into the detail where needed to unblock delivery and maintain momentum
- Establish and maintain enterprise standards, principles and roadmaps that support long‐term scalability and transformation
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on transformation risk, sequencing and value realisation
Experience & Background
- Proven experience as a Senior Enterprise Architect, Chief Architect or Transformation Architect within large, complex organisations
- Strong track record delivering large‐scale business and technology transformations, ideally within logistics, transport, supply chain or similarly complex global environments
- Demonstrated experience defining and implementing Target Operating Models
- Broad exposure to enterprise systems and platforms, including ERP and core operational systems
- Comfortable working across multiple domains rather than owning a single technical specialism
- Experience operating in global, matrixed organisations with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Background working closely with executive leadership on transformation strategy and execution
What They’re Looking For
- A true “doer” — someone who drives outcomes, not just frameworks
- A pragmatic architect who balances strategy with execution
- Comfortable with ambiguity and large‐scale complexity
- Confident challenging thinking, influencing senior stakeholders, and making decisions
- Focused on business transformation first, technology second
Why This Role
- Enterprise‐wide remit with global impact
- Opportunity to shape the future operating model of a major logistics and transport business
- High visibility role influencing long‐term transformation and investment decisions
- A chance to genuinely lead and deliver transformation, not just define it
