Transform Processes. Optimise ERP. Make an Impact.We're looking for an experienced ERP Manufacturing & Supply Chain Functional Consultant to join our team and play a key role in helping organisations improve their operations and get more value from their ERP investment.
We're deliberately open to candidates from a range of ERP backgrounds. Epicor experience is not essential.
You may have worked with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, Infor, IFS or another leading ERP platform.
What matters most is your understanding of manufacturing, distribution, supply chain and operational processes, combined with the ability to translate business requirements into practical ERP solutions.
This is a hands-on consulting role where no two projects are the same.
One day you could be mapping a manufacturing process with a Production Manager. The next, you could be helping a Warehouse Manager improve inventory control, configuring ERP functionality, supporting a go-live or working with senior leadership on a wider ERP transformation programme.
The RoleYou will take ownership of the functional side of ERP Manufacturing, Distribution and Supply Chain solutions, working across implementations, optimisation projects and ongoing improvements.
You'll work closely with operational teams, business leaders and technical specialists to understand how the business operates and identify opportunities to improve processes through technology.
What You'll Be DoingYour responsibilities will include:
- Leading the functional delivery of ERP Manufacturing, Distribution and Supply Chain solutions.
- Working directly with business stakeholders to understand their challenges, requirements and objectives.
- Mapping current business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Translating business requirements into practical ERP solutions.
- Supporting core Distribution and Supply Chain processes including:
- Sales Order Management
- Purchasing and Procurement
- Inventory Management
- Warehouse Management
- Shipping and Receiving
- Product Management
- Pricing
- Demand Planning
- Supply Planning
- Logistics
- Supporting Manufacturing processes including:
- Bill of Materials
- Engineering
- Product Lifecycle Management
- Methods and Routings
- Production Planning
- MRP
- Job Management
- Scheduling
- Capacity Planning
- Shop Floor Operations
- Subcontracting
- Quality Management
- Supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations and optimisation programmes.
- Configuring ERP functionality to support business requirements.
- Working with technical consultants and developers on integrations and system enhancements.
- Supporting data migration, testing, UAT, reconciliation and go-live activities.
- Investigating and resolving complex functional issues.
- Supporting integrations with third-party systems.
- Producing functional specifications, process maps and documentation.
- Providing training, guidance and knowledge transfer to users.
- Building strong relationships with operational teams and senior stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to automate, simplify and improve business processes.
- Staying up to date with ERP functionality and emerging technologies.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who understands both ERP and the realities of running a manufacturing, distribution or supply chain operation.
You should have:
- Strong hands-on experience with an ERP platform.
- Significant experience within manufacturing, distribution, supply chain or logistics environments.
- Experience implementing, configuring or supporting ERP Manufacturing, Distribution or Supply Chain functionality.
- Strong understanding of operational business processes.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating them into ERP solutions.
- Experience with ERP implementations, upgrades or optimisation projects.
- Strong process-mapping and business analysis skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Confidence working with Production, Operations, Supply Chain, Warehouse and senior management teams.
ERP Platforms
We are open to candidates from a broad range of ERP backgrounds, including:
- Epicor/Epicor Kinetic
- SAP/SAP S/4HANA
- Oracle/Oracle Cloud/Oracle EBS
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain
- Microsoft Dynamics AX/NAV
- Infor
- IFS
- Or another significant enterprise ERP platform.
Epicor experience is not required.
