Job Description-

We are looking for an experienced Contract Controls Engineer who can independently perform PLC software modifications, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and documentation activities for retrofit projects in the UK.

Mandatory Requirements-

• Experience in controls engineering and industrial automation.

• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal, including PLC software development, modification, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

• Good proficiency in Siemens STL (Statement List) programming language, including understanding and modifying existing code.

• Experience in retrofit, RMR, brownfield, modernization, or system-upgrade projects.

• Ability to understand existing control systems and handle assigned activities independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, testing, and validation skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Expected Responsibilities-

• Review and modify existing PLC software using TIA Portal and STL.

• Perform PLC testing, I/O checks, commissioning, and site support.

• Diagnose faults and resolve control-system issues.

• Execute functional testing and validate software changes.

• Update software records, change logs, test results, and technical documentation.

• Coordinate with site teams, customers, and project stakeholders.
