Technical Writer
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer with strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, focused on developer documentation for web technologies. The role involves creating and enhancing technical documentation, collaborating with engineers and SMEs, and improving existing content quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify technical documentation topics for features that lack documentation or require upgrades.
- Work on one topic/project at a time, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and usability.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to gather technical information and validate content accuracy.
- Analyze existing documentation and suggest meaningful improvements beyond copy edits (structure, clarity, usability).
- Ensure documentation follows best practices for developer workflows and technical audiences.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10 years of relevant technical writing experience.
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
- Core technical writing expertise with developer-focused documentation.
- Experience working in environments with APIs, software development tools, and shared source-controlled documentation.
- Proficiency in Markdown, HTML/XHTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript understanding.
- Ability to read and understand small code snippets.
- Prior experience creating developer documentation for large-scale platforms or tools.
