Overall Job Purpose
To coordinate, maintain and improve business data across the organisation, ensuring information is accurate, complete, consistent, timely and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
The role will work closely with teams across the business to manage data inputs, identify and resolve data quality issues, maintain agreed data standards and provide accurate reporting and analysis to support effective business operations and decision-making.
Key Duties
· Coordinate the collection, input, maintenance and validation of business data across multiple departments and systems.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date master data, ensuring information is complete, consistent and compliant with agreed data standards.
· Review existing data and identify inaccuracies, duplications, inconsistencies, missing information and other data quality issues.
· Work with relevant business users to investigate and resolve data discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Carry out regular data cleansing and validation activities across relevant systems and databases.
· Ensure data is entered and maintained in accordance with agreed procedures, standards and governance requirements.
· Manage data uploads, amendments and updates across business systems as required.
· Support the creation, maintenance and control of data templates, spreadsheets, databases and supporting documentation.
· Produce regular reports and analysis relating to data quality, completeness, accuracy and business performance.
· Use Microsoft Excel and other relevant systems to analyse large volumes of data and identify trends, anomalies and areas requiring investigation.
· Support the development and implementation of data standards, procedures, processes and work instructions.
· Maintain accurate records of data changes, issues and corrective actions.
· Liaise with internal departments to ensure data requirements are understood and consistently applied.
· Provide guidance and support to users on data entry requirements, processes and data quality standards.
· Monitor data quality and escalate significant or recurring issues to the appropriate manager.
· Support system changes, upgrades, migrations and other business projects where data coordination and validation is required.
· Assist with testing activities by preparing, validating and reviewing data within business systems.
· Ensure data is handled securely and in accordance with GDPR, company policies and information security requirements.
· Maintain confidentiality when handling commercially sensitive, employee, customer or supplier information.
· Identify opportunities to improve data processes, reduce manual activity and increase data accuracy and efficiency.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives relating to data management and business processes.
· Provide administrative and coordination support to relevant projects and business activities where required.

Job Competencies / Key Skills
Must:
· Previous experience in a data coordination, data administration, data management, business support or similar role.
· Strong experience of maintaining, reviewing and cleansing business data.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, formulas, filtering, sorting, data validation and reporting.
· High attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and investigate data discrepancies.
· Experience working with large volumes of data across multiple systems or databases.
· Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with teams across different business functions.

· Experience working with ERP, CRM or other enterprise business systems.

· Knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools.
· Experience within a manufacturing, distribution, supply chain or commercial environment.
