PhD-qualified RTL Engineer

Take the initiative in developing reusable RTL for implementing clever algorithms

For this role, we are seeking an academically bright candidate, PhD-qualified in a numerate stem subject such as physics, maths, electronics, or electronics, and some existing knowledge of digital electronics. You would be joining an expert Cambridge-based team, designing, optimising, and verifying a wide array of reusable logic blocks to implement mathematical algorithms and other common digital functionality. You would have a high degree of ownership in planning and progressing your work.

This role is with a leading technology company, with a relaxed and informal working environment, and excellent remuneration package.

You will need:

  • An outstanding academic record with a relevant PhD, a bachelor's from a top university, and mostly A*s and As at A-level (or equivalent).
  • Excellent numerical, algebraic, and logic skills, and understanding of areas such as how computers internally represent and manipulate numbers. Skills in System Verilog, Verilog, VHDL, or coding skills in C++ would be advantageous.
  • You must have full, existing, and unrestricted right to work in the UK without time limit or the need for sponsorship.

This is a great opportunity to join a leading employer in the high technology sector, where you can build your skills, gain experience, and work on technological challenges whilst learning from expert colleagues. A competitive salary and benefits package are on offer to the successful candidate.
