Job Title: COBOL Developer (Contract)
Location: Remote (UK-based candidates preferred)
Contract: 6 months (Inside IR35)
Rate: Competitive day rate
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking experienced HP NonStop COBOL Developers to join a key transformation programme for a gloabl client. This is a fully remote contract role for an initial 6-month period, with potential for extension.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support applications on HPE NonStop systems.

  • Contribute to system integration, data processing and batch execution in a critical legacy environment.

  • Work within an agile team to deliver high-quality code and maintain platform stability.



Essential Skills:

  • SCOBOL

  • COBOL85

  • ENSCRIBE

  • ENFORM

  • PATHWAY

  • TMF

  • HPE NonStop utilities (FUP, TEDIT, PERUSE, etc.)



Desirable Skills:

  • TAL

  • TACL

  • SQL

  • MQ
