MySQL DBA - Deployment & Implementation
Contract: 3 months
Remote (occasional travel to Surrey)
Rate: £450-£550 per day

We're seeking an experienced MySQL Database Administrator to support a short-term deployment and implementation programme within an enterprise environment. The role is predominantly remote, with occasional on-site travel to Surrey for key delivery activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Deploying and implementing MySQL database environments
• Supporting database builds, configuration and migration activities
• Performance tuning, optimisation and stability during deployment phases
• Managing backups, recovery and high availability configurations
• Supporting go-live and handover into BAU operations
• Working closely with infrastructure, application and delivery teams

Required experience:

• Proven experience as a MySQL DBA in enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on experience with MySQL deployment and implementation
• Experience with performance tuning, indexing and query optimisation
• Solid understanding of backup, recovery and DR strategies
• Comfortable working independently in a delivery-focused contract role
