Data Quality Analyst - Global Transformation

Data Quality Analyst - Global Transformation

Location: Hertfordshire (2 days per week)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

The Company:

We're partnering with a global organisation undergoing a significant transformation in how it manages, governs and improves data across its international operations.

As the business continues to invest in its global data strategy, they're looking for someone who can take ownership of real data quality challenges, working with teams across multiple countries to improve the integrity of critical business data and prevent issues before they happen.

This is an opportunity to join a highly visible global function where you'll influence projects, improve business processes and help shape how data quality is managed across the organisation.

The Role:

This is far more than a reporting or governance position.

You'll be responsible for identifying data quality issues, understanding why they've occurred and driving solutions that prevent them from happening again.

Working across business and technical teams, you'll own data quality problems from investigation through to resolution, building relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to implement lasting improvements.

Success in this role comes from being able to combine strong analytical thinking with excellent communication. You'll need to influence people, challenge existing processes and confidently explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Investigating and resolving complex data quality issues impacting business operations.
  • Identifying root causes and implementing sustainable preventative controls.
  • Defining and improving data quality rules, standards and validation processes.
  • Working with business users and technical teams to implement data quality improvements.
  • Supporting projects by embedding data quality considerations from the outset.
  • Driving discussions with multiple stakeholders to gain agreement on solutions and ownership.
  • Communicating complex data issues in a clear, business-focused way.
  • Helping build a culture where data quality is everyone's responsibility.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone who has genuinely worked in a hands-on data quality role rather than purely governance or metadata management.

You'll be able to demonstrate real examples of data quality problems you've personally investigated, the actions you took to resolve them and how you prevented similar issues from recurring.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience working in a dedicated Data Quality position within a complex organisation.
  • A proven track record of investigating and resolving data quality issues from start to finish.
  • Experience creating or implementing data quality rules, controls or validation processes.
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Confidence working with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • The ability to influence others and build relationships across a global organisation.
  • A self-starter mentality with the confidence to work independently and drive outcomes.

Why Apply?

This is a rare opportunity to join a global transformation programme where you'll have genuine ownership and visibility.

You'll work with international stakeholders, help shape how data quality is managed across the business and play a key role in delivering long-term improvements that impact the organisation globally.
