Business administrator Apprentice
Gain practical experience working for an IT company in business administration while developing communication, organisation, digital and customer service skills. You’ll receive structured training, workplace support and work towards a recognised Level 3 apprenticeship.
Role
Duties to include:
- Carry out general administrative duties to support the day-to-day running of the business.
- Answer and direct inbound telephone calls and respond to routine enquiries.
- Prepare, update and maintain accurate records, spreadsheets and databases using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Take accurate minutes during meetings and record key actions and information.
- Enter and update customer and business information, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain records of calls, enquiries, customer information and other business activity.
- Assist with preparing documents, reports, correspondence and other administrative paperwork.
- Support the organisation and administration of meetings, events and trade shows.
- Assist with arranging appointments, maintaining diaries and coordinating activities where required.
- Prioritise tasks and manage multiple requests while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Identify errors or missing information and take appropriate action to correct them.
- Use initiative to resolve routine administrative issues and escalate matters when necessary.
- Support the administration of marketing activities, including maintaining records and updating information.
- Use Microsoft Word and Excel confidently to complete administrative tasks.
- Work effectively as part of a team while managing individual responsibilities.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle company and customer information appropriately.
Training
- Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
- Level 2 English and maths Functional Skills (if applicable)
- Training will take place at Protocol B3 2NH 1 day per month
