We are looking for a Systems Engineer with strong experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to support our automotive client in Leicestershire. Embedded within the Electrical & Electronic Systems department, this role is critical to the specification and delivery of innovative features.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining system solution specifications, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the traceability and quality of system-level deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• Support the creation, update, and maintenance of system solution specification documents using PREEvision.
• Assist in defining CAN and LIN communication structures and support fault handling/diagnostics strategy.
• Independently review issues raised by component owners or validation teams and propose viable resolutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues with minimal impact on programme cost and schedule.
• Ensure that deliverables are reviewed by appropriate stakeholders before release.
• Follow defined MBSE team processes and manage tasks accordingly.

Who We Are Looking For:

• BEng or MEng in Systems Engineering or a relevant discipline (HND with relevant experience will also be considered).
• Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices.
• Knowledge of UML / SYSML modelling and requirements management techniques.
• Proficient in using tools for writing and managing natural language requirements.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

It Would Be An Asset If You Also Have:

• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN / LIN).
• Experience in automotive, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience using PREEvision or similar architecture/requirements tools.
• Understanding of logical system architecture design.
