Financial Accountant - US Gapp

Our client is a global leader in the Software services field. They are now seeking an experienced Financial Accountant for a 3 month contract based at their prestigious central London offices. This is a hybrid role with 2 to 3 days a week in the office.

Duties of the Financial Accountant:

• Maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
• Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

Skills/Qualifications

• Strong technical (US GAAP) and financial accounting expertise.
• Month end close experience (Journals and reconciliations).
• Compliance filing experience (Financial statement preparation, VAT, Corporate tax).
• Accounting software. (Oracle financials ). Excel and presentation skills.

• Professional Accounting qualification, ACA or ACCA.
• Big 4/Top 10 Accounting firm background would be great.
