Project Scheduler
Project Scheduler
Hybrid Nottingham - with travel to London
Salary up to £45K
We're working with a globally respected technology business to find a skilled Project Scheduler for a significant, high-profile programme currently underway in the UK. If you're someone who finds clarity in complexity and takes pride in keeping plans airtight, read on.
Our client has been at the forefront of digital transformation in the public transport sector for over four decades. They deliver sophisticated, large-scale technology programmes to operators across the world, and right now they're building out their UK delivery team. This is a genuine opportunity to get stuck into something meaningful.
What You'll Be Doing
This isn't a box-ticking scheduling role. You'll be working at the heart of a complex programme, building and maintaining detailed project schedules, tracking progress against baselines, and producing the kind of clear, accurate reporting that lets teams make confident decisions.
Day to day, you'll be tracking critical activities, running what-if analyses, maintaining risk registers, and coordinating across cross-functional teams to keep things moving. You'll also be comfortable developing frameworks and building Business Capability traceability models to explain processes to stakeholders at every level.
In short: you'll be the person who knows exactly where the programme stands, and what needs to happen next.
What We're Looking For
- At least one year's experience in a project scheduling or planning role, ideally within IT or transport
- Hands-on proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project — you need to be comfortable in the tools, not just aware of them
- A solid grasp of Programme and Project Governance, and PMO working practices
- Confident working across both Waterfall and Agile environments (SAFe or similar a bonus)
- Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail that doesn't slip under pressure
- Good communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to translate schedule data into something people can act on
- Experience co-ordinating across departments and managing upwards when needed
- Organised, professional, and trusted to handle sensitive programme documentation with discretion
- A team player who's also comfortable stepping up when the situation calls for it
