As our new Information Security Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience in protecting systems, managing risks, and supporting compliance. This isn’t a role where you’ll be sat coding all day – you’ll be learning both the technical side of security and the governance/compliance work that keeps us safe and secure. You’ll be mentored by experienced professionals, work on real projects like simulated phishing campaigns, and follow a structured training programme leading to recognised qualifications. Whether you’re looking to launch your career, or a career changer ready for something new, this apprenticeship offers the skills and confidence to build a future in cybersecurity, risk, or IT governance. Salary: £22,000 Assessment Day: 11th November 2025 What You Will Be Doing From day one, you’ll be contributing to real projects and learning about: Assisting with security alerts and incidents.
Assisting with vulnerability scans and patching.
Supporting internal and external audits.
Helping maintain our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Contributing to policy reviews and awareness training.
Building the skills to create and manage phishing email simulations. About You We’re looking for someone curious, motivated, and detail oriented. It will benefit you to have: A keen interest in cybersecurity and IT.
Computer literacy and confidence with digital tools.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
A full UK driving licence (travel may be required).
GCSEs in Maths and English (A-levels or Level 3 IT/Business qualifications are a plus). No prior experience is required – just enthusiasm and drive to learn.
