Civil Engineering Apprentice

As a Civil Engineering Apprentice, you will learn to produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software. You will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced technicians, designers and engineers in a professional design environment.

Role

  • Learn to create, update, and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
  • Assist with preparing technical drawings, layouts, plans, and design documents.
  • Read and interpret sketches, mark-ups, specifications, and project information.
  • Support the design team with drawing revisions and updates.
  • Check drawings for accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain organised drawing files, records, and document control information.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, technicians, and project teams.
  • Follow health and safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Attend college, training sessions, or apprenticeship learning as required.
  • Develop technical knowledge, software skills, and confidence throughout the apprenticeship.

  • Possible progression onto degree apprenticeship with company support.
